my mad long ebay saga is OVER! (cue collapsing in relief on chair)

as most of my readers would know,
i bought a KS bag off ebay earlier in Nov and it came damaged, with scratches on it :(


and then i emailed the seller, and exchanged a long string of emails that resulted in me getting really mad with her and opening a case with ebay resolution centre, here


so i was like damn WTF and very upset with this seller already. and i reported to ebay, and ebay asked me to send the bag back to the seller with tracking number provided so that they would know when seller has received the item, and process a refund for me.






awesome, can get my refund right, fair enough.... i paid $43.55 not inclusive of stupid postpac box and scotch tape to return the item to the seller.






so i waited and waited and waited. but i didnt realise that singpost website only tracks the reg article within Singapore, and once outside SG you have to go to the country's respective postal services website to check on item status. thus i called up Singpost and they kindly informed me that the parcel status could be tracked online and my parcel was refused, not once, but twice!!! by the addressee. and that the parcel was on it's way back to me now because of that!


WTF???!!!







HOW COME THIS SELLER SO UNETHICAL ONE??? 

ebay has already informed her that i am returning her the item and that they will process a refund for me! and i blardi spent $40 over dollars just to send back the bag to her and she REFUSED the delivery, twice somemore!!!

fuming mad at this stage.

imagine, if this seller refused my parcel delivery, means i spent another $50 bucks on top of the $300 i paid, FOR A SCRATCHED BAG! WTF to the nth degree!

i quickly emailed ebay to inform them of the situation cos the case was due to close the next day and if it just closed like that i wont get my refund at all! and i would be totally upset if that happened. totally.





i was so mad i actually typed wrongly lor. wtf is "send the item back to item" hahaha i meant "send the item back to seller" -___-


but but but.

GUESS WHAT. 



even before i had time to garner responses on twitter to my very angry twits below:

EBAY HAS CLOSED THE CASE IN MY FAVOUR AND REFUNDED ME THE MONEY I PAID FOR THE BAG+SHIPPING FROM US! 

and what's more, since the stupid seller decided to refuse the parcel, the bag is on its way back to me now and so meaning to say, I GOT MY REFUND, AND I STILL GOT TO KEEP THE BAG!

!!!!!!!!!!!

ok i must keep my composure and stay mature. but awesummzzzz ebay resolution centre did its job and i got back my refund after weeks!!! 

am so glad this whole situation is over though. and thank God it turned out well for me if not it'd have been a loss of $300 (at least!)
and of course thank you soooo much for all the concern from readers/friends who's been wishing me well over this matter! yay!! am so happy to announce that it's finally settled!!!!

now i just sit back.. and wait for my money and parcel to come back to me. ahahahaha. i am SO EVIL.

we chanced upon this rainforest cafe, which ah heng claimed that it is commonly found. not an unique themed cafe :(



the crabs here look different from what we have in singapore. they have really long legs. and don't expect to see fat pincers. :(

and now, my loots of the day:



1. hair dryer. i needed this BADLY. couldn't stand having dripping wet hair when i was out of the shower.



2. Victoria's Secret!!! honestly, this is every girl's haven! muahahaha, jas and i were sucked into this store for an hour! :X
i got 2 bras, 3 undies, 2 body lotions, 1 nail polish and 1 eyeshadow. total damage: USD 78

waiting for my angel card to arrive though. heehee.



3. kid's sized tee from old navy. this is a steal - USD 6! ah heng was complaining that it might not fit me at all. hohohohoho, i'm not that fat ok! and this is XL from the kid's department :D



4. 2 pairs of jeans from pacific sun, and my, they cost me USD 30! :)))
it's a brand called bullhead, and i so love their cut! they even have 3 lengths for the jeans can - long, regular and short.
and of course, i took short. hahahahaha! and they fit well! no need to alter at all :D

well, i didn't spend that much, but ah heng was already nagging at me. :X
he pampered himself too, with 1 pair of oakley slippers, 1 pair of kenneth cole slippers and belt. don't ask me why he's stocking up on slippers.

okay, off to unpack my luggage and make soup for dinner!

i finally have the time to edit the photos proper, and upload them here.

it was 17 december 09, and the day started off as ah heng and i made our way to hdb to sign the agreement.

my cpf account shrank that very day.

anyway, we met up with jen at maxwell food centre for some local foodfare! :)





and ah heng left early to meet up with hs friends. while we both strolled to ann siang hill, which was a stone's throw from the food centre.







and then, we sat down outside a cafe to "celebrate" my birthday. :D
oh man, we are always doing all the romantic stuff!





we got the cakes from the patissier! droolworthy!



i pretended that the candle was lit, and i made a wish :D
jen bought me wonderful gifts - a lovely pink winter coat, an apron with my fave My Melody and a cute speaker in the shape of an apple!

and our last destination was mint, the toy museum.



there were 5 levels in all. goodness. we had always thought that there was only one level to explore! :P

folks, just a reminder, NEVER order chicken wings from their menu. they are not cooked, and it's strange to cook chicken wings in hot pot.

some honest ramblings: i somewhat dread when friends say i seem/sound/am happy over here in US. i guess it's not that i am truly feeling it this way, but it's more like a no-choice situation. what can i do besides trying to cope and grit my teeth to weather this? i can't possibly sound all weepy when i call my friends. they can't do much for me anyway. i chanced upon a gf's shoutout in facebook. and i totally agree with it. nowadays, folks mistake companionship as friendship. true friends are the ones who give you anal comments and make you face the harsh side of life. and some simply brush you off with their non-commital remarks.

okay, i am beginning to sound cynical. ha!

i can't believe 2009 is nearly at the end of its lifespan but yet there's so much of it left for me to ruminate over and reflect upon, 
so many memories experiences that havent gotten a chance to be immortalised in feelings words images,
and a pile of work to complete before it hits the last day of the year! ><

i want to blog about my christmas happenings and all, but i have five comic pages waiting to be colored. boohoo. in about two and a half days, that makes for half a day per page ugh. oh and my driving TP is happening on Wed right after i clear the work by Tues morn. God help me pass.

but here's some stuff i've wanted to share for awhile: pages from a scrapbook i made sometime ago in Aug for our two years anniversary :)






painstaking cut out those pretty letters from pieces of decorative paper! it's harder work than i thought.



July 2007, where we met: at The Ark singing cafe, also known as 木船民歌餐廳, and our first picture ever taken together (we both look silly!)



initial stages of our relationship, and our first CNY spent together..



Feb 2008, the first valentines day, i got a bouquet of roses :)



lovey dovey picture, and when we went to Korea together with his family for our first overseas trip (i want to blog about Korea but too many pictures, :( havent even edited/picked out pictures!!)

his birthday this July. i made tiramisu cake for him as a surprise but surprised bombed :( he saw the recipe on my internet browser or something?!



first/last images were taken during my 21st birthday :) 


and we just spent our third christmas together,
it seems like time has passed so quick, but it also seems like we've been together for ever, how paradoxical.
looking forward to the next year with you baby.

Short meeting with Mama Jo

it was her "off-day" from her full-time maternal duties. so we caught up at TWG! been wanting to go there after hearing so much raves about it!



when you step into TWG, you begin to wonder why Singaporeans need not work on a weekday and can afford to have tea at such an atas place!
it was crowded

i observed that i looked totally crappy in most of my farewell shots. argh. either i smiled reluctantly, or i looked obnoxiously flabby. :(((

i just did my laundry. felt the sense of achievement as i had never used a washing machine and dryer in my entire life. :X

and i like how my clothes smell now :)

i mentioned something about winning the most crap-tastic prize during the "lucky" draw at my ex-company's christmas party held last Wednesday. 

well, let's start from the beginning. 

i used to be part of this amazing little studio located in the east of Singapore, also known as IFS, full of quirky talented (and sometimes crazy) artists, designers and project managers :) and the parties we hold are beyond the norm, i think only design studios and creative companies can appreciate this kind of madness.

the christmas tree is a wonderful illustration of this strange quirkiness.

rubber boob (lolll dont expect much from a studio full of guys) as tree ornament,
and a rock band (or is it guitar hero?) guitar strapped to the tree.

i used to have this school girl figurine on my office desk,  and came into office one fine morning to find my figurine a tranny with a ginormous **** complete with balls modelled with sculpey (something like plasticine) and stuck onto her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -___- such an insult to my $80 expensive sexy school girl figurine.


so WIW for the party, a very festive shade of red!

a digression:
i totally want to get a new camera :((( i think my appetite for a good camera has grown, 4 months ago when i got the lx-3, i told myself that i'm "investing in a good camera so that i can use it for a long time" and now my heart is swayed after looking at the new micro 4/3rd camera systems like GF1 and EP1, they produce DSLR-esque images but without the bulk! it's still big but manageably so. hoooowwww. i wants it so bad -_- 

two of my ex-colleagues both own one of the above-mentioned cameras and omg i didnt even feel like touching my LX3 at the party after i got to play with theirs and take pictures with them! sad sad.

every year's christmas party has a traditional UN-lucky draw. it's called an UN-lucky draw because everyone gets a "prize" but in between all the coolsome prizes are slotted in really crappy prizes.. i remember last year, i was fighting to the end to draw for the top two prizes, one of which was an ipod shuffle (!!!) and i ended up with a winnie the pooh photo album instead, they're cruel like that..... i swear i almost cried omg! i was so near..... yet so far.....



this year's amazing prizes. a toy weapon set, a light sabre, cute little sketchbooks, 320gb HDDs, cool watches, pretty headphones, lomo cameras, a bag of toy plastic dinosaurs etc and etc....






like srsly. 

i thought i was suay enough last year to get my winnie the pooh photo album.

make a guess what my lucky number got me this year.

Merry christmas everyone!! :):) Just finished Alvin & Chipmunks, not as good as the first but still as good as a Christmas movie! :) I give it a 2.5/5- quite boring at some segments. This movie is about the chipmunks and their fellow performing female chipmunks! Js loves theodore hahaha!
